Each Furever Keepsake is individually made.
The tail is inserted into the mold first.

The Keepsake is made of resin which begins in liquid form.
A catalyst is added and the resin is slowly stirred to keep bubbles from forming in the mix.

When the resin is thouroughly mixed, it is poured into the mold.
The mix is checked to make sure no air bubbles are hiding.

It is at this point when the fur is added to the keepsake.
The fur is gently laid on top and it naturally sinks into the resin.

When the catalyst has done its work, the keepsake is checked for hardness.
This can take a couple of weeks depending on humidity and other conditions.
If all looks well, the keepsake is ready to come out.

The tail became embedded in the resin as it hardened and is pulled thru the mold.
Rough edges are sanded down and the bottom is hand polished to a mirror finish

A protective coating is applied to the keepsake,
and a hole is drilled for those intended to become pendants.
